Discovering the Vézère Valley without a car, it's possible !
The Local Council of Dordogne propose 3 ideas of discovery tours without using a car : first, you take a train then you walk or ride a bike.
- "Les Eyzies de Tayac, a travel into Prehistory" : take the line Périgueux-Agen and stop at Les Eyzies. From the train station, 700 m from the city center, you can discover the village and its touristic attractions or take a walk on the "Boucle de la Micoque" which will reveal 350 000 years of human occupation through its 10 stops.
- "Campagne, its castle and its park" : take the line Périgueux-Agen and stop at Le Bugue, then walk or ride one of our electric bikes during 5 km towards Campagne. Cross the Vézère and visit the castle and the park of Campagne, then hike in the surrounding forest thanks to 2 loops of 2.5 kms and 5 kms.
- "Limeuil, at the confluence of the rivers Vézère and Dordogne" : take the line Bordeaux-Sarlat and stop at Le Buisson then walk 6 kms or take the line Périgueux-Agen, stop at le Bugue then walk or ride one of our electric bikes during 6 km towards Le Bugue. You will discover a magnificent point of view over the confluence and the village ranked among the most beautiful villages in France.

Pierre has tested a 2.5 days (48 kms) tour by train, bike or foot, starting from the train station of Condat sur Vézère. This tour will take you to Condat, Montignac, Valojoulx, Saint Léon sur Vézère, Peyzac le Moustier, Tursac and Les Eyzies (in French).
