Gastronomic Périgord

As everywhere in Dordogne, the Vézère Valley is very well-known for its gastronomy. Périgord is famous for its foie gras, fillets of duck, black truffles, ceps and AOC Périgord walnuts : tasty products of the land to discover traditional and incomparable food habits . They are terms which deliciously tantalise the taste buds of gourmands and gourmets alike. These specific French products have recently been registered among the World Heritage by the UNESCO. This large range of products is a real wealth to make an infinite number of recipes.     

Gastronomic Périgord : Exceptional Products

No tasty dishes without tasty ingredients. Thanks to its local agriculture, the gastronomic Périgord is characterised by natural products of high quality. Three letters “IGP” are used to label foie gras, strawberries and lamb from the Périgord. IGP which stands for « Indication Géographique Protégée” means that the products labelled that way are strictly from the Périgord and respect a drastic quality charter.
