In the heart of the charming little village of Fanlac, you will find the workshop of Mr Kristof Mascher, a leather craftsman presenting his exceptional and unique work.
Mr Mascher works with vegetable-tanned fish leather, an ancestral Siberian technique rediscovered and modernized.
These fish leathers are inlaid in full-grain cowhide to make belts, bags and paintings.
The workshop is open to visitors and the craftsman will be happy to explain his work to you and tell you the fascinating history of this unusual material.
Open all year by appointment, and from 18/05/2024 to 29/05/2024 from 11 a.m. to 18 p.m. and from 07/07/2024 to 25/09/2024 from 11 a.m. to 18 p.m. – closed Mondays.
