Village des Farges
The village is situated at the north of Montignac, famous for the Lascaux cave, in the Vézère Valley.
By the 10th century, the village was founded in the Cheylard right bank of the Vézère. Several centuries later, in the 15th century, the Cheylard castle was built and became an observation post on Sauveboeuf castle, located on the other side.
During the 16th century, people have changed their settlement, leaving the town of Cheylard for Les Farges, located on the height.
