Les jardins de Losse
"This A listed site offers an exceptional panorama of the river from the château terrace (1576) . It is surrounded by unspoilt view of fields and woodland.
Through the terraced hornbeam green chambers beyond the moat, a labyrinthine walk also leads to a balconet overlooking the river.
Within the wall a tunnel leads to the roselined watchpath to the shade of a great Albizia.
Down the steps to the lower garden you will find topiary design by the fountain and rill and a knot garden in the manner of the 16th century.
The tangible yet poetic charm of this garden comes from its scented plants, the sound of running water and pleasurable sights. Garden seats invite you to savour it.
There are shady walks in the park, north of the castle.
