Free beaches on the banks of the Dordogne

Swimming in the Bos Ponds

In the heart of Périgord Noir, on the heights of the Vézère Valley, Is the aquapark of the Bos ponds: a pond with inflatable infrastructure and various activities which will please the whole family (fishing, mini-golf, electric cars, playground, picnic tables, etc.).

A “splash” in the pond in the supervised swimming area, it is the time to swim in a natural environment. It is possible to eat on site and even stay there thanks at the Bos campsite. With the heated swimming pool for the little ones which adjoins the pond, the Bos Ponds, this is the spot for a perfect day or stay perfect for family.

Swimming at the Tamniès lake

In the heart of Périgord Noir, between Sarlat and the village of Montignac-Lascaux, is the Tamniès lake: a small pond with a supervised beach during the day and various activities (fishing, playground, sports course, picnic tables, etc.) A bar, a restaurant and parking also equip the place.


A contribution from 3 euros is requested to enjoy the Tamniès pond and its leisure activities.

Swimming at Lake Groléjac

For a moment of relaxation or a sporting day, go to the Roc Percé leisure center of Groléjac. This body of water, located near Sarlat, extends on 15 hectares and also offers many activities and services:

  • Supervised beach in the afternoon in summer;
  • Pedal boat rental on the lake ;
  • Nature Reserve ;
  • Fishing ;
  • Picnic area. ;
  • Parking...


A participation of 2 Euros is required to access Lake Groléjac.
