Take time to discover the village of Les Farges
Located to the north of Montignac-Lascaux The village of Les Farges, bordered to the south by the Vézère river, invites you to discover its vast, rural horizons. The village extends on Jurassic and Cretaceous limestone plateaux whose altitude varies between 200 and 260 m. It's a bastion that towers over the surrounding countryside by around a hundred metres. the Vézère valley to the east and Cern to the north. The municipality offers numerous viewpoints and belvederes.
To the south of the commune, on the vast Cheylard hill of sandstone limestone, the remains of some of the most important the ancient church from the 18th century. A small public country lane leads to the ruins: Romanesque nave, bell tower-wall, 11th-century choir (barrel-vaulted) and a few tombs from the old medieval cemetery can still be seen nearby.
