Description

The walk passes through the woods and crosses small hamlets with beautiful houses with Périgord architecture. The route goes up small valleys bordered by cliffs which are reminiscent of the valley of Castel-Merle (famous site of the Vézère Valley) or that of the nearby fish shelter.

Your itinerary

Getting to the starting point to report a problem

Step 1

Starting point (Manaurie),

Step 2

Continue opposite, for 50 m. Once arrived at the bottom of the valley, the road follows the railway line (above on the right). Leave the road, which turns right under the bridge, and take the path opposite which continues along the railway line. At the exit of the woods, continue straight in the meadow until the road leading to Placials

Step 3

Follow the road to the right and leave the houses of the hamlet

Step 4

Turn right for a few meters, then take the path on the left along the pond. Go up the valley. Guess the rocks that border it on either side. Stay on the path furthest to the left, follow the 4 ponds of the Placial valley to the right to the bottom of the valley

Step 5

To turn left. Go back up onto the plateau and reach a crossroads. Turn right to reach the highest point of the walk. Cut a road to reach the directional mast

Step 6

Go down on the left, towards Manaurie. On the descent, at the fork, take the middle path to continue towards the place called: la Gane. Cross it and continue on the road to reach, at its terminus, the outward crossroads. Turn right and return to the starting point
