Boucle de Saint-Chamassy-Audrix
Route details
Description
Pedal while enjoying the beauty of the landscapes of the Vézère valley! Amateur or experienced cyclists, ride safely on shared secondary roads and discover Saint-Chamassy. Framed by the Vézère and the Dordogne, this commune dominates the confluence of the two rivers: Vézère and Dordogne.
The name comes from the Occitan deformation of Saint Eumache, which was over the centuries under the domination of the lords of Bigaroque then Limeuil.
Located equidistant from Périgueux, Sarlat and Bergerac, in the heart of a region rich in tourist attractions, the calm combined with the variety of landscapes makes it a haven of peace. Then, while climbing, you will discover Audrix, a charming village, one of the highest in Périgord Noir (240 m above sea level). Come and admire the panorama of the village of Bugue and the Vézère and Dordogne valleys.
