Your itinerary
Step 1
Starting point: the Vézère car park in Les Eyzies. Follow the river against the flow then 250m cross the RD47 road to Périgueux, before the bridge, then take the small road which runs alongside the stadium to the Tayac church (XNUMXth century). Go up to the upper village of Tayac.
Step 2
Join and take the small asphalt road on the right and then take the small path that goes up on the left. At the exit of this path, take the small asphalt road on the right for 50 meters. Then take the stone path on your left.
Step 3
From there, a round trip is offered above the cliffs overlooking the Vézère and above the 7 towers also called the 7 brothers. These rocky overhangs offer a view of the Valley. Be careful, do not exceed the safety barriers. At the end of the path a sign indicates that it is time to turn around.
Step 4
After the round trip, join the tarmac road on the left up to the "Granges" and go back down to the right on the main road to the church. To reach the village of Les Eyzies, follow the railway line by the road passing in front of the station then the Abri Cro Magnon. Back on the main street continue towards the center of the village. To discover the alleys under the rocks, take Rue du Moyen-Age on the left towards Abri Pataud which leads to the National Museum of Prehistory. Go back down towards the town hall square and then reach the car park via the Promenade de la Vézère.
