Description
This path will take you through a diversity of landscapes that reflect the characteristics of the region, ultimately discovering three castles arranged in a fan shape. This hike can be done in several sections.

Your itinerary
Step 1
Starting point: from the call sign located on the Place du Monuments aux Morts, with your back to the river, take the main street on the left, pass in front of the school and continue until the crossroads. Go opposite, direction "Château de Sauveboeuf", continue on this small road, pass in front of the Château then go up to the right. Arriving at the D45 road, head opposite into the undergrowth. Turn right, take the one way for approximately 100 meters. Go down the path which runs alongside the Vézère and take the tarmac road again. At the crossroads, turn left then right, at a place called “Bigor”.
Step 2
Follow the tarmac road until the crossroads, turn left onto the road which goes up to Arzème. At the top of the hill turn left onto a dirt road. Arriving at Arzème, go up the boxwood path. Go past 3 electrical poles and go up again to find 3 poles again. Continue on the path just opposite, it goes down to Péchany.
Step 3
Leave the Péchany farm on the left and take the path through the woods on the right. After a curve to the left, the path goes down and becomes a small road which runs alongside two houses.
Step 4
Go around the hamlet of "Combel" and turn right at the crossroads. Then take an upward path to arrive on a plateau. Our path takes a left. A little further down, the path reaches the tarmac road, cross it to find the viewpoint of "L'Escaleyrou". From this place you can admire the valley and its 3 castles: Fleunie to the north, Petite Filolie to the west, Sauveboeuf to the south.
Step 5
Return to the dirt road and continue downhill. Cross the tarmac road on a bend, to find a path through fields. Cross another road and take a tarmac path opposite. The path crosses a walnut grove to discover the Château de Sauveboeuf. We take the path which crosses the plain. Cross the road towards the town of Aubas. Leave the bridge over the Vézère on the right, pass in front of the town hall to find the starting point.
