Your itinerary
Step 1: From Sergeac to Moustier
28 – Departure from the village of Sergeac. Take the direction of “Castel-Merle” then turn left at the sign indicating the departure points for hikes. Take the small road that goes up, passing near the inn.
29 – Turn right onto the path which goes into the woods before turning again onto a path to the right.
Continue on the yellow markings until “Chaillac”.
30 – Leave it for the green markings on the right in Chaillac, continue straight then turn right at the intersection.
31 – Take the first path on the left.
32 – In the woods on the descent, take the small path that goes down to the right. Leave a first path (mountain bike) on the right, then a little further, at the junction with another path, take it on the right. Continue right.
33 At the crossroads take the path on the right towards Peyzac.
At the tarmac walk along the farm, then take the road on the right before branching off at the bottom of the hill onto the path on the left.
34 Walk along the river to the small chapel of Peyzac le Moustier. Go up to the main road and cross it to take the steps opposite and take a path again.
35 At the top of the hill continue straight on then at the next crossroads, turn right to reach “la Roque Saint Christophe” Follow the site by the road, passing at the foot of the cliff until you reach the RD.

Step 2: From Moustier to Les Eyzies
36 In the bend near the deposit, go down to the right to the river. Go under the bridge. Go to the tarmac, turn left, continue on the small road. At the fork, turn right “Sur le Ruth”.
37 Go up the small road and continue straight ahead following the yellow markings to the hamlet of “Lespinasse”.
38 – In the hamlet, go down to the left, and before arriving at the bridge, take the small road on the right to the parking lot of the “La Madeleine” site.
39 – Before reaching the site’s car park, take the path on the right (green markings) towards “Boucle de la Micoque”. On the path after the hairpin bend, turn right, then continue straight on. Go back up, staying on the path and following the green markings.
40 – At the tarmac at the end of the path continue on the left, then stay on the small road on the right at the next intersection. Turn left at the top of the hill onto the castine path after the vineyards. Continue on the path, passing the viewpoint over the valley and the Madeleine (left side) before joining the La Micoque loop.
41 – Upon arrival on this loop, turn right, then leave the castine path by taking the small path that goes into the woods on the right. Pass near the “Micoque deposit” (signposted on the left at the intersection), and turn left until you reach the “Mas”.
42 – In the village of Mas, stay on the right. At the bottom of the village take the road on the right. At the mill on the stream, take the path on the left which runs along the river and follow the road on the shoulder. When arriving in Les Eyzies, go under the road bridge, go around it, and take the pedestrian footbridge attached to the bridge to access the town.
