The Vézère Valley, on the road to a sustainable destination.

Mindful of preserving and passing along this marvellous territory to future generations, the public and private tourism professionals of the Vézère Valley are committed to protecting the environment with your support. The many national, European and international environmental labels that have been attributed to the territory show a strong commitment on the part of its tourism professionals.

The "NF Environnement" label :
An official French ecological label issued by AFNOR Certification, an independent certification organisation. You will see this logo on various products and services such as paint, bin bags and coffee filters. The label is also applied to tourist attractions, under the NF Environnement category "sites de visite". Today, the Vézère Valley is the leading French territory in terms of NF Environnement "sites de visite" labelling. Three sites of the Valley enjoy this label : Le Gouffre de Proumeyssac, La Roque Saint Christophe et Le Château de Hautefort.

The European Ecolabel : 
The only official ecological label for use in all the member countries of the European Union. In France it is issued by AFNOR Certification. This voluntary label certifies the products and services that meet its criteria. You will find this label on various products such as wood furniture, laptop computers, paper and household cleaning products. The European Ecolabel is also applicable to campsites and tourist accommodations : Camping Le Paradis et le Manoir du Chambon. 

Green Key :
A voluntary environmental management label for tourist accommodation on an international level. Outdoor accommodation, hotels, rental accommodation, bed-and-breakfasts, youth hostels, resorts and traditional restaurants which meet certain criteria are eligible for this label :  Camping Le Paradis, Camping Saint Avit Loisirs, Camping le Moulin du Roch, Vacancéole Le Clos du Rocher. 

Green Globe :
International certification specifically designed for the world of travel and tourism: Le Bournat.
