Village de Sergeac
Sergeac is located into the Black Perigord on the side of the Vézère river, bordered by high cliffs where were found a lot of prehistoric deposits.
After seeing the monumental medieval cross at the crossroad, we can see the big church built at the end of the 11th century on roman ruins.
The village has also an authentic site: Castel-Merle which presents 10 shelters as notable rocks, occupied by the man of Neandertal then by the man of Cro-Magnon.
It is one of the most important concentration of deposits in Europe, thanks to its human occupation.
